Gerald Eve Corporate Finance officially launches with £385m pipeline

13 December 2019

Following our announcement in March, we are proud to report our partnership with Gerald Eve has moved on to the next stage, with FCA Authorisation and a debt transactions pipeline of £385m.

Gerald Eve has formally launched its corporate finance division, Gerald Eve Corporate Finance. Gerald Eve Corporate Finance, which has been formed following a longstanding partnership between Peritus and Gerald Eve, received authorisation on 1 August 2019 to become an appointed representative of Peritus.

Gerald Eve Senior Partner Simon Prichard said: "This collaboration enhances the services available to Gerald Eve’s clients, offering a joined-up real estate and debt advisory proposition in line with investor requirements".

The team has built a strong pipeline of over £385m of debt transactions it is advising clients on.

Gerald Eve Corporate Finance team will include "six experienced advisors with a combined finance experience of over 100 years" and will operate as a stand-alone platform working closely with Gerald Eve’s capital markets and development and planning teams.

The FCA-regulated corporate finance advisory service provides Gerald Eve clients with access to a diverse range of capital market solutions.

Gerald Eve Corporate Finance offers advice across the full real estate capital stack including senior debt, mezzanine, bridging and development finance as well as equity and the service line will draw upon Gerald Eve’s network of property companies, private equity, developers and private investors as well as Peritus’ established track record and expertise in the corporate finance arena.

"Peritus has been working alongside Gerald Eve for a number of years and coming together to form Gerald Eve Corporate Finance is a natural progression for both parties."

Gerald Eve Corporate finance has already built a strong pipeline following a soft launch in March. This includes debt origination and advisory on over £385m of investment and development transactions. There are also synergies across Gerald Eve’s lease advisory, valuation, corporate real estate management and asset management teams both in London and across the regions.

Simon Prichard, Senior Partner at Gerald Eve said: “I’m excited to see that we have built a strong pipeline of work in such a short space of time since launching Gerald Eve Corporate Finance. We expect to build on this going forward, and the reception from our clients has been very positive across the board. Gerald Eve Corporate Finance allows us to enhance our advice on transactions, development, valuation and asset management.”

Darren Baker, CEO of Peritus Corporate Finance, added: “We have built a strong reputation for providing investors and developers with in-depth and innovative finance solutions and we are glad to be part of Gerald Eve Corporate Finance. The synergies are clear from the outset and Gerald Eve’s clients have been very receptive to the new service line. We feel this is an exciting push forward and allows us to expand our commercial and development financing capabilities across the UK market while working alongside some of the best advisors in the business.”
